56th Annual Waimea Christmas Twilight Parade Photos & Video
The Waimea Christmas Parade was held on Saturday 12/03/2016 , this year’s parade theme was “Starlight Christmas”. To get a feel for the excitement during the parade watch our Waimea Christmas Parade video on YouTube. The parade announcer was a lot of fun to listen to as well, she did a fantastic job.
Waimea’s famous Christmas parade (the second oldest in Hawai’i) included a Santa float, dozens of units representing Waimea keiki to kupuna including churches, schools, youth groups, community organizations, farms, ranches and businesses, plus a huge brigade of festively lighted trucks.
The parade started at Church Row and ended at Waimea Town Park.
This year’s Waimea Christmas Parade Grand Marshall was revered PWO Navigator Shorty Bertelmann – one of the founding visionaries of Na Kalai Wa’a.
