UPDATE: We moved back to South Carolina (Upstate). The bird feeder is seeing high traffic and we’re always amazed at the number of birds that hang out on our deck.
Update: We moved from SC to TN back in November. I hung the bird feeder on our big window in the kitchen overlooking the backyard.
Last week I saw a bird in the feeder early in the morning while making coffee. Since then the temperatures dropped and it has been pretty cold. I haven’t seen hardly any birds in the yard at all. I’m pretty confident that the bird feeder will get lots of attention by our local bird population once the weather warms up again. I will keep you updated. :)
It looks straight forward. Hopefully it stays nice and clear like it did when it came out of the box. Sun fading and scratches will definitely make it less appealing.
It is very straight forward to use Dewy. They do recommend to wash the bird feeder about once a month with a 10% water/bleach solution to keep it clean. I don’t think its going to get scratched up very easily. I mis-spoke in the video and said the feeder was made from plastic, it is actually made out of hard, clear acrylic.
So far I haven’t seen any birds in the feeder, I did see about a half dozen of them in the trees straight across. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
It will be interesting to see if birds actually come to this feeder. I have a few bird feeders in my spacious back yard and I have always thought that they were drawn to them because of their enclosure (they felt a certain sense of security). Please add any photos you might capture of the birds actually sitting on this. You have a nice office by the way. ;)
