If you love bird watching this see through window bird feeder from Yellow Beaks is perfect for you.
The desk in my home office is right next to a window overlooking the tiny backyard of our town home in South Carolina. Since I spend a lot of time sitting at my desk every day, I find myself gazing out the window, hoping for inspiration more often than I’d care to admit. With my new bird feeder I will soon be watching birds instead of staring at the roof of the back porch.
Window bird feeders like this one from Yellow Beaks are able to offer very close-up views of birds even if you do not have a garden or yard.
With no assembly required, this high-quality clear acrylic bird feeder is super easy to use. The all-weather suction cups ensure a strong hold to your window so you don’t have to worry about the bird feeder falling off, no matter how strong the wind blows. It took me literally 10 seconds to attach the bird feeder to my upstairs office window, as you can see in this little video we made.
As an added bonus, when you purchase a Yellow Beaks feeder, you will receive a free e-book titled ‘The Ultimate Insider’s Guide to Backyard Bird Watching’! This book covers almost all aspects of bird watching, including the types of feeders, the types of feeds, and various ways to attract birds to your own backyard.
Since we have recorded the above video I have downloaded the eBook and I can tell you, I’m amazed at the wealth of information they have provided. Information on how to attract birds to your backyard, the best food to use, how to set up an acrylic see through bird feeder or birdbath, and lots of other useful tidbits for bird watching are all included.
An innovative wide opening on the front of the bird feeder allows for easy access to replenish the seeds, it will attract a variety of small and large birds, with a bird perch for wild birds to land on and enjoy the food. Apparently the wide angled roof is a nightmare for squirrels, I suppose they can’t get a grip on it and slide right off. The little acrylic bird house will shelter the birds from rain and snow and prevent your bird seeds from getting wet.
I love my new backyard bird feeder and can’t wait to start watching birds while getting my next great idea.Â
The acrylic window bird feeders are available on Amazon starting at only $14.95. Are you one of the 51.3 million Americans that love bird watching? Don’t wait to enjoy this fun activity from the comfort of your own home!

UPDATE: We moved back to South Carolina (Upstate). The bird feeder is seeing high traffic and we’re always amazed at the number of birds that hang out on our deck.
Update: We moved from SC to TN back in November. I hung the bird feeder on our big window in the kitchen overlooking the backyard.
Last week I saw a bird in the feeder early in the morning while making coffee. Since then the temperatures dropped and it has been pretty cold. I haven’t seen hardly any birds in the yard at all. I’m pretty confident that the bird feeder will get lots of attention by our local bird population once the weather warms up again. I will keep you updated. :)
It looks straight forward. Hopefully it stays nice and clear like it did when it came out of the box. Sun fading and scratches will definitely make it less appealing.
It is very straight forward to use Dewy. They do recommend to wash the bird feeder about once a month with a 10% water/bleach solution to keep it clean. I don’t think its going to get scratched up very easily. I mis-spoke in the video and said the feeder was made from plastic, it is actually made out of hard, clear acrylic.
So far I haven’t seen any birds in the feeder, I did see about a half dozen of them in the trees straight across. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
It will be interesting to see if birds actually come to this feeder. I have a few bird feeders in my spacious back yard and I have always thought that they were drawn to them because of their enclosure (they felt a certain sense of security). Please add any photos you might capture of the birds actually sitting on this. You have a nice office by the way. ;)
Hi Heather, I am just as curious as you to see if I’ll actually get birds to come up to the window. Yes, I will definitely share the pictures, I usually have my cell phone or a camera sitting very close by. :)
