Warm Banana Pudding Ingredients:
- 1 Package of Cook & Serve Vanilla Pudding Mix
- 2 cups of Milk
- 1 large or 2 small Bananas – sliced
- 4 – 6 Vanilla Wafers per dish
- Whipped Cream
Cooking Directions:
Cook the pudding and milk over medium heat, keep stirring so the pudding doesn’t scorch on the bottom of the pan. Line your individual dishes with 3 – 4 vanilla wafers.
Pour about half of the vanilla pudding into the dishes on top of the wafers and add several banana slices.
Pour the rest of the pudding in the dishes and top of with remaining wafers and bananas.
Top the dishes with a generous amount of freshly whipped cream if you like.
Now it’s time to let all of your cares slip away and enjoy your homemade banana pudding!
Banana pudding is often associated with Southern American cooking. I have made this easy, warm banana pudding long before moving to the South. Growing up in Germany I enjoyed a slightly different version, without the wafers.
By the way, Nilla Vanilla Wafers are still the best on the market. To serve our warm banana pudding to your family of four or more simply double or triple the recipe.
Eating banana pudding while it is still warm is so much more enjoyable. But, if you prefer you can also make a refrigerator version, by swapping out the Cook & Serve pudding package with a No Cook version.
