Food photographer Carl Kravats and Cindy Epstein, Food stylist, will be hosting a number of Food Photography Workshops in Temecula California, where participants will be guests at the intimate “Inn at Europa Village” in the heart of wine country. Temecula is located about an hour north of San Diego, and is the home of more than 40 wineries, and numerous microbreweries. Old Town Temecula offers tasting rooms, “foodie” venues, boutique shops, seasonal festivals and vibrant nightlife.
“Where the Epicurean Spirit meets the Art of Food Photography”
This tour will consist of wine tastings at award winning wineries, a delightful and educational “Wine Aroma Table” experience, Microbrew dinner with craft beer “Flights”, a Hot Air Balloon ride floating over the breathtaking vineyards of Temecula, touching down to a “Farm to Table” champagne breakfast. There will be a private tequila pairing Mexican dinner, a New Orleans themed dinner extravaganza and a trip to San Diego, finishing up the week with a Sunset Dinner Cruise on San Diego Bay.
There will be 2 workshops at Carl’s Home studio and 2 on location where participants will hone their existing creative skills at the art of food photography. All will learn tips and tricks of the trade in the studio with studio lights and under natural lighting conditions. At the studio, Carl and Cindy will give hands on pointers on lighting, composition, propping and styling. What Photography Equipment To Bring?
Your DSLR, cards, charger for your batteries, extra battery, a couple of lenses, either a 50mm, 85MM, a macro lens, maybe a 24mm to 70mm zoom lens, any of those would be fine, a tripod, if you have one with a horizontal center column that would be best.
