We had our little Espresso maker for several months now and enjoy trying new coffee recipes.
We figured we have saved more than $100 since we bought our Espresso machine. Simply by making our own hot coffee drinks at home you can save a lot of money.

We Are Ready For The Coffee!
An Espresso is always the starting point with any hot coffee specialty drink. By varying the ingredients you add to your Espresso you can produce a Latte, Cappuccino or your very own unique coffee beverage. The basic difference between a Cappuccino and a Latte is the type of milk used. A cappuccino has frothed and steamed milk, whereas the latte contains steamed milk only. A variety of flavorings can be added to both.
Our favorite fall back coffee recipe is a simple Vanilla Cappuccino:
Traditionally prepared with 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk and 1/3 foam in a small cup, typically 4-6 ounces in capacity. We like to add a shot of Vanilla coffee syrup to the cup before adding the coffee ingredients, this way there is no need to stir.
Here are several other Espresso Recipes for you to try:
A single shot of espresso topped with 1-2 tablespoons of foamed milk right in the espresso cup.
Espresso con Panna
A single or double espresso shot topped with whipped cream.
Mix 1/3 part espresso to 2/3 part steamed milk, after dissolving cocoa or chocolate syrup with the milk to taste.
A double-shot of espresso mixed with approximately 5 ounces of steamed milk, typically little or no foam is added to the top. Served in a large bowl type or glass cup 9-12 ounces in capacity. For flavored latte, simply add some quality coffee syrup to taste.
A cup of American style drip coffee with a double-shot of espresso added.
A single shot Espresso diluted with hot water to dilute coffee strength. Café Americano is a little sweeter tasting because hot water is added to the shot, not run through the coffee grounds.
Café Crema is a single shot, but it is a long pull. Instead of pulling 1.5 ounces of water through coarsely ground espresso you pull 6 to 8 ounces of water.
For the best flavor serve your espressos immediately!
