Flowers and candy are tried and true and might seem like a safe bet, but why not be a little adventurous and try an easy DIY project? Enter the Bottle-Lamp community website. This enterprising site has added a new twist to the ‘Message In A Bottle’ by transforming it into the ‘Message On Bottle’.
This year’s unique Valentine’s Day Gift is a Chalkboard Bottle Lamp!
Scroll down to learn how to make your own in 4 easy steps…
A Chalkboard Bottle Lamp is really rather genius if I may say so myself:
Step 1: Find a recycled glass bottle and clean it inside and out. Remove any labels with warm soapy water.
Step 2: Apply a think coat of chalk board paint, its available in a spray can, to the outside of the glass bottle. Let dry and repeat until the whole bottle is covered evenly.
Step 3: Add a string of LED lights, throw in some creative decorations and voila, you’ve transformed an ordinary glass bottle into a brilliant work of art.
Step 4: Add a piece of chalk on a string around the bottle neck and write your sweetie a lovely Valentine’s Day message.
This unique gift can be used as a nightlight all year round. And if the message on the bottle fades over time simply write a new one. We’re absolutely sure your loved one will treasure this handmade gift for a long time.
We love this unique Valentine’s Day gift!
