Quit Smoking Journey Week 4

I am crabbier than ever, but still smoke free after week 4.

There I said it, I’m crabby, pissy, on edge, however you want to put it, I miss my favorite outlet. With only 2 Chantix pills left I stopped taking them last week. I was sick for a few days with a very sore throat and actually went to see the doctor. Apparently I had an infection in my throat or gum line and after taking anti-biotics for a few days my throat feels much better.

I don’t think about cigarettes very often throughout the day, but when I do it hits me like a ton of bricks and for a few minutes I’m ready to say “f*** this, let’s smoke!!”.

Than the craving passes and I’m back to my usual self. Right, Nick?

Yeah, whatever you say dear! Honestly, some days you go back and forth so much my head is spinning. I think in the long run you are mellowing out, which makes me wonder how much the Chantix helped you. Maybe we should think about an alternative outlet for you.

The one other thing that has helped me keep going, is the anticipation of visiting the Turtle Crawl Inn Resort next week. I’m building a website for them and they hired us to take photos and videos for the individual condos. Plus we’ll be able to spend some much deserved couple time. I can’t wait to lounge on the beach and go sight-seeing.

By the way, the five pounds I gained are gone again. :)

What do you think a good alternative outlet would be for a lazy non-smoker?

  1. Finding a good vitamin is one of the key factors to living a vibrant life. For me, this supplement has always proven to be the greatest. It just gives your soul what it needs and it doesn’t have all of those harmful side effects as all of the bad ones. It’s also one of the less costly ones out there.
