Best Apple Pie Dish by Nick & Silke
Apples (peel and slice to fill a 9 in. plate 2/3 full)1 1/2 c sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg
1 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c butter
3/4 c chopped nuts (optional)
Combine 1/2 c sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Mix egg, sugar, flour, salt, butter and nuts. Spread over apples. Bake 35 - 45 minutes at 350°. Best served warm with whipped cream.
Easy Fresh Pear Cake by Nick & Silke

5 pears peeled, cored and chopped pears
1 1/2 cups white sugar
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 egg whites
2/3 cup melted butter
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Combine the pears and the sugar and set aside. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Spray a 10 inch bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle with a sugar and cinnamon mixture. Slightly beat the egg whites and combine them with the butter, chopped pecans and pear mixture. Stir the flour, salt, baking soda, nutmeg and cinnamon. Pour batter into the prepared bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before removing form pan.
